The opportunities seem to get better every summer. With each new year comes a new set of goals and vacation destinations. There's newly tourist-discovered islands of wonder and hidden vistas to explore. The wanderlust is ever-increasing. On top of this, each summer comes with its own set of must have items, the latest things that will make your summer even better.
We've been on a few adventures this summer already, and we have seen those trendy summer gadgets that you've got to have. Here are our favorites.
1. A killer camera and/or video device
You've seen those amazing homemade videos of summer adventures, or those awe-inspiring photographs and Polaroids on Instagram, right? This summer is definitely the summer to capture. That means you should get your hands on some kind of killer camera or recording device. Smart phones, like iPhones can work great, but GoPros are pretty cool too. You may want to invest in a nice Canon or Nikon and learn how to use it. Memories are great, but being able to go back and hold an actual photograph, or watch a video and see how everyone laughs and looks makes memories so much morereal.
Don't forget to live in the moment, though. It can be a beautiful thing to capture everything, but sometimes you get too caught up in 'capturing' it, that you forget to just live it and breathe it, be in the moment. Try to find a steady balance.
2. Breezy, beautiful, Indie/hippie-type clothing or athleisure gear
Athleisure clothing can keep you comfortable and good-looking, but flowy indie clothing is for sure the thing to wear this summer, especially in all of those photos and videos you're going to take.
Get some clothes that layer, like a throw-over, shorts, skirts, tank tops, belts, and jewelry. You'll love mixing and matching, as well as enjoying how the wind blows your clothes and hair everywhere.
3. A hammock
Hammocks have been 'the thing,' for a while now, so you're a bit late if you still don't have one. If you're unsure as to why youneed a hammock, we put together 8 reasons to have a hammock in your life. Go check it out to see if a hammock is something you need.
With a hammock, you can find a spot to lounge almost anywhere, sleep in the middle of a hike, and just relax in the wilderness.
Camping, beaching, summer concerts, picnics, and sleepovers all have something in common. An air lounger makes the experience MUCH more comfortable. You don't need to spend 20 minutes pumping it up. You just run with it like a kite, filling it with air, and then within a matter of minutes, you're ready to lounge with some friends. It's THE thing to have if you're one to go to any of these events frequently.
If you would still prefer to sit on the floor, consider a9 by 10 foot beach blanket. You and a bunch of friends can hang out comfortably, without getting grass stains on your clothes or sand between your toes.
To keep you hydrated on all of your adventure, you'll need a healthy and easy solution: a fruit infuser water bottle. A bottle like this is perfect for drinking pure water, as well as homemade fruit water concoctions. It's the perfect travel bottle because it won't spill and it's super cute.
If you aren't sure what to make, we've got you covered with an ebook of delicious recipes, sent to you when purchased.
