Women’s History Month is a celebration of women’s contributions to history, culture and society. We thought we would take this time to celebrate the amazing women of our 60 Day Hydration Challenge!
Today we want to introduce you to Annie King. Since taking the challenge Annie now drinks 70 ounces of water each day!
I am proud of sticking to my goal of running a marathon in all 50 states before I turned 50! I was 43 when I began. I met some great people along the way that encouraged me to continue when it got hard. I ended up running it 2 times – all marathons! During this time I was teaching full time (special ed) and began and completed my Masters in Education!
I remember seeing this when I was still teaching. Didn’t think I could do that (run to bathroom so much). So the 3rd Challenge fit so I began – and never stopped! I found that water really is very important to your body. I knew about this already because I am a runner (and live near Atlanta). But not the effect it would have on me when I began. Totally gave up on my 1 a day Diet Dr. Pepper!
This is difficult question for me! So many people have inspired me throughout my life – at different times! But I must say my parents. They showed me the correct way to live through their actions. We were very involved with our church. It was important to my mother that my family ate together at least for dinner. We seemed to always have other people over to eat with us.
How incredible is it that Annie has run a MARATHON in all 50 states! We are amazed!
