What Happens To Your Body When You Stop Drinking Soda

You’ve probably heard that drinking soda is bad for you but do you know just how bad it actually is? Experts say that soda is the #1 cause of obesity among a myriad of other health concerns.

In addition to massive amounts of sugar, soda is also pumped full of unnatural chemicals to give it flavoring and dyes to give it color. Amazing things start happening to your body when you finally decide to kick soda to the curb.

Check it out! ↓

Weight Loss

Soda is packed full of sugar and empty calories. Cutting soda out of your diet will help you instantly start shedding pounds.

Less weight means less back pain and healthier joints. Plus, that reduction in sugar significantly lowers your risk of developing diabetes.

Immunity Boost

Soda’s chemical make-up wreaks havoc on all parts of our digestive system. The sweeteners found in soda are especially harmful to your gut health.

They can disrupt healthy bacteria found within the gut which in turn can throw off our entire system, including the way our body reacts to infections.

Better Bone Health

Caramel coloring in soda is guilty of having artificial phosphorus. Phosphorus naturally occurs in healthy foods like grains but the artificial phosphorus in soda does more harm than good.

The artificial form of phosphorus essentially forces your bones to absorb it which can send calcium out the window and significantly weaken bones.

Healthier Skin And Hair

High sugar intake can cause hair thinning and also make your skin age faster. Of course aging is part of life, but drinking sugary sodas can deliver wrinkles and bald spots to our doorstep a lot faster than many of us would hope!

Happier Heart

Many sodas have caffeine. Yes, caffeine gives us a little boost and helps us power through our busy schedules, but caffeine also increases blood pressure, raises blood sugar levels, and increases our heart rate.

Research has even shown that people who drink sugary sodas every day have a significantly higher risk of having a heart attack. Cutting soda out of your diet will have your heart happier in no time.

Say Goodbye To Soda With Healthy Alternatives

If you’re struggling to part with your sugary soda addiction, there are healthy alternatives. Carbonated water can give you that exciting burst of bubbles that you crave and fruit-infused water will give you a pop of flavor. Combine the two and you’ll say farewell to soda in no time!

I am kicking soda to the curb starting now. I currently don’t have a weight problem. I have a hard time gaining weight and very easy for me to lose. I am a very heavy juice drinker. My encouragement to all is take it one day at a time.

Okay, now you’ve done it! I’ll never want a soda again! Facts are good! So if I bought a water machine that adds bubbles, would that be okay, or is that adding chemicals?

I drink soda occasionally, but I’ve noticed cola’s really mess with my gut health. I’m going to try to not drink any sodas now that I have my water bottle. Drinking water makes me want to do everything in a healthy way, eating, exercise.etc… I have found truvy heart & hydration packets that have zero sugar that flavor my water perfectly when I don’t want to drink plain water.

I haven’t drank sodas in about five years. I was never a heavy soda drinker. My weakness is black coffee(no sugar or cream). Not a juice drinker either. I do add fruit to my water

All through my early twenties soda was a huge part of my life. I wish that someone had explained how damaging it was at that time. I am now fairly soda free. I may have one a week with lunch or dinner but that is about it. I feel that my skin is much better and my weight is too. I wish I had understood earlier. I’m celebrating that I understand now.
