Let’s be real: you want to get in shape, but you aren’t, and you haven’t really started trying yet.EVERY YEAR, YOU MAKE RESOLUTIONS TO BE IN SHAPE, TO BE FIT, HOT, AND HEALTHY.Yet, you fall short. You have yet to discover your dream summer body. It happens to a lot of us.
As much as we all may wish otherwise, we have to START CROSSING OFF OUR FITNESS GOALS NOW if we are ever going to be in the shape of our dreams, especially by summer. Keep in mind that the first day of summer is June 20th. That gives us four months, and that’s generous, especially considering that a lot of us start vacating in early June, or even May.
That’s why you, yes you, need to get on board and start doing these things right now, or at least, as soon as you finish this article. THE SUMMER DIET AND FITNESS PLAN STARTS TODAY.
1. STOP PROCRASTINATING
Almost everyone is capable of having a sculpted, beautiful, beach body, yet so many of us fall short. Cake is too irresistibly good, work is too busy, and it takes a heck of a lot of motivation to start working out. IT’S TIME TO QUICK MAKING EXCUSES and get on the track, get in the gym, and get the dream body you’re after.
Once you make exercise and a good diet a habit, it will be easier to follow through.
The procrastination, though, is what is ruining it for you right now.
2. DRINK WATER, WATER, AND WATER
Did we mention water? We know that soda can be hard to go without, but WATER WILL HYDRATE YOU BETTER THAN ANYTHING. Plus, there’s no added sugar, no unnatural energizers, nothing that will ruin your summer body in the working.
And please do not complain that water is plain! We have solved that problem with our fruit infuser water bottles. Fruit infused water is zero calories, but can have the taste of fresh, healthy lemonade. Throw some strawberries and pineapple into your water, let it soak, and drink it up. WATER WILL HELP YOUR METABOLISM STAY HEALTHY, AND HELP YOU GET FIT.
3. LEAVE THE CAKE AT THE BIRTHDAY PARTY
If you go to any social gathering, there is always going to be a temptation to indulge in something sweet. It can be cake at a birthday party, donuts at a work meeting, or chocolate your sweetheart bought you. FOLLOW OUR ADVICE, AND JUST SAY NO.
Don’t be ashamed to tell your loved ones, your coworkers, and your friends that you are working on LOSING WEIGHT AND ARE FOREGOING THE SUGAR. They will understand. If they don’t, maybe it’s time you find some new company that will support you in your healthy goals, such as this important one.
4. SAY GOODBYE TO EXTRA CARBS
This one may be even harder for you than going without extra sugar, but it is worth it. Carbs can contribute to bloating, and EATING CARBS CAN MAKE YOU CRAVE EVEN MORE CARBES. It’s a never-ending cycle until you choose to stop it.
No more Paninis, garlic bread, French toast, or anything else with bread as a main ingredient.
EXTRA CARBS? NO. EXTRA WORKOUTS? YES. (See example on the right.)
5. START WORKING OUT REGULARLY
You can’t get your dream summer body just by drinking water, and eating healthier. YOU HAVE TO GARNER UP SOME REAL ENERGY AND STRONG WILL, AND EXERCISE!
Go to the gym, go for a run, do some squats; the list is endless. There are so many workouts.
FIND THE EXERCISES THAT WORK FOR YOU AND START DOING THEM AT LEAST THREE TIMES A WEEK.
6. MAKE GETTING IN SHAPE AN ADVENTURE
Working out and eating healthy doesn’t have to be a struggle. MAKE IT SOMETHING ENJOYABLE AND CAREFREE.Go for a hike and bring water and natural fruit leather for a snack. This will help you cross off multiple goals in one. YOU COULD EVEN ENLIST SOME FRIENDS TO JOIN YOU IN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS ADVENTURE.
Maybe by the end of spring, you’ll both be ready to jump into your new, smaller swimsuits, and into the NICE FEELING OF FINALLY BEING FIT FOR SUMMER.
7. PRIORITIZE YOUR TIME
If you are online reading this article right now: good for you! You’re working up that willpower and maybe forming a plan in your head to lose weight now and find a diet that works for you. However, if you’re reading this, it also means that you are sitting down, perhaps WASTING TIME AWAY ONLINE.
Prioritize your time differently. USE THIS TIME TO BE OUTSIDE ON A WALK, OR INSIDE DOING SOME PUSHUPS. Maybe you could even be meal planning. Whatever it is you need to do to get your summer body, do it now, as in right now.
